Christmas Party 2011

We decided that we would host a small get together with some friends that were staying here in Omaha for Christmas! There usually aren't to many that want to stay! We are rare! Justin had an ugly sweater party at work and thought it would be fun to do the same at our party! Justin went with me to the thrift stores to help find our SUPER cute outfits! I had not ever been in a thrift store before and was not impressed with the smell of the place!
I think we were successful! I decided if I was going wear a sweater that ugly I had to go all out! Emma looked like 4 year old version of my self! I was impressed that I still knew how to curl bangs! I made the head bands out of crappy christmas bow and some old tulle! Lucy's outfit was to cute so I hot glued bows on the front to ugly it up! The girls looked adorable!
We gave a prize (a rat statue dressed as santa lol) for the best dressed! Our friend Kyle won! He looked awesome a mix of Uncle Ed and shooter McGavin! And Yes the turtle necks both of them are wearing are women's... just thought I would put that out there! LOL! We had so much fun and are thinking this might have to be an annual party!

Emma's Fourth Birthday!

@ Teddy Bear connections stuffing their animals!
Emma, Leanna, Emily, Sydni
For Emma's 4th BIRTHDAY had a TANGLED party at Teddy Bear Connections (it's like build-a-bear)! Emma and her friends all got to pick out a stuffed animal, stuff it, and give them a heart! Emma had been eyeing the pink poodle that was in the window display so when asked which one she wanted to make she knew immediately which one to choose!
Emma loves looking at the Cake books at the grocery store so when I asked what kind of cake she wanted she told me the Tangled cake in the cake book! Works for me! I'm not much of a cake decorator anyway so this was perfect! There was like 20 cupcakes for four girls!
The party was so fun! They got to stuff their animals, make a craft and played kiss the frog! The store has this special tree built into the wall that the birthday girl got to sit in to open her presents! I don't think I will be able to top this party! The best part was all I had to do was bring the cake and favors and the rest was done for me by the staff at the store! It was so nice to actually sit back and be a part of the party!

Lucy Turned 1

Justin had school all day this day so Emma and Mom celebrated with Lucy at home! Lucy had her first cupcake (which as you can see I slaved over making... thank goodness for hostess lol)! Emma was so cute helping her little sis open her presents!

September 14 2011
Lucy is now officially ONE!
I don't know where that year went. She is such a blessing in our lives! We love her sassy little personality and her stubborn I can do it myself attitude! I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to raise this little munchkin.
